"Personal experience through a family member has fueled our desire to find and supply the right mobility products to support independent living."

That is what inspired Ok Mobilitys motto; or our motto is MOBILITY PRODUCTS FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING. OK Mobility operates a mobile business located in the Okanagan valley in BC. In Operation since 2008, OK Mobility Products comes to your home or your facility with new or used mobility products for demonstration (used equipment as available and as requested). As a long time Okanagan resident I am thankful for the beauty of our area. It’s inspiring to see my clients out and about enjoying their independence and freedom on products OK Mobility or our competitors have provided in our beautiful area. It’s the best part of our job, and is what motivates us. Our job is to do everything we can to eliminate the term shut-in. We love our Job!

Other past experiences include: being a hockey coach, taking part in his community as a volunteer, and being a snowmobile club volunteer.

I personally enjoy getting outside for a walk, smelling the fresh air, and chatting with the neighbors and friends you meet. Our walkers provide the stability and reassurance that you will be able take part in such a simple yet precious activity. If you feel the need for a rest you can simply set the brake and have a seat. Our scooters and power chairs provide the gift of mobility to someone when walking has become too difficult. One of the nicest sights I’ve seen is a client with their scooter on the sidewalk taking their dog for a stroll on a beautiful sunny autumn afternoon.

As a youngster Joan became involved in 4-H which engendered a lifelong commitment to volunteerism. In addition to raising her 4 children, Joan has been involved with previous business ventures, has operated an in-home child care service, has volunteered in numerous community organizations and has been employed as a baker at Butcher Boys Food Market in Vernon.
